Hook Foods focuses on sourcing the best Mid-Atlantic ingredients that are then prepared by award winning chefs with flavor and nutrition being the major focus for each dish we create.

Harrison Keevil
Founder & Executive Chef
With 20 years of experience, Harrison Keevil brings a deep passion for food, hospitality, and culinary excellence to Hook Foods. A Goochland County native, he grew up on a farm, instilling in him a strong work ethic and an appreciation for quality ingredients. After graduating from the University of Virginia with a degree in Western European Foreign Affairs, Keevil’s journey took him to London, where he discovered his love for cooking amidst the city's vibrant culinary scene. Returning to Charlottesville, Keevil made his mark on the local food landscape. He opened Brookville Restaurant in 2010, earning a reputation for bold flavors and locally sourced ingredients. He later launched Keevil & Keevil Grocery and Multiverse Kitchens, a ghost kitchen concept developed in response to the changing restaurant industry. At Hook Foods, Keevil applies his expertise to crafting high-quality, performance-driven meals that fuel athletes and teams. With a focus on fresh, flavorful, and nutritionally balanced food, he helps ensure that every meal meets the demands of elite performance while delivering the comfort and satisfaction of a well cooked meal. From sourcing the best ingredients to developing thoughtfully curated menus, Keevil is committed to elevating team dining experiences and fostering service in the kitchen with a chef- driven approach that blends quality, creativity, and practicality.

Mark Zamperini
Founder & Head of Sales
Committed to providing the support needed to nourish athletic performance, Mark Zamperini brings a deep understanding of the sports industry and a passion for helping athletes succeed—both on and off the field. With a career spanning sales, marketing, and financial planning, he has worked with professional athletes–in the NFL, NHL and MLB, business owners, and families, providing strategic guidance to help them reach their goals. As a former football student-athlete and graduate of the University of Virginia, Mark has led a top mutual insurance company with over 700 sales representatives and has been featured in Financial Planning Magazine. He has also hosted two financial radio shows—Planning with the Pros and One on One Financial Radio on WMAL in Washington, D.C.—sharing his expertise with a broad audience. Beyond his financial and business knowledge, Mark has played a pivotal role in helping collegiate student-athletes navigate and secure NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) opportunities. By leveraging his network and expertise in brand partnerships, he has successfully connected athletes with sponsorship and business deals that align with their personal brands and long-term goals. A longtime Virginia and Charlottesville resident, Mark’s extensive network and business acumen make him a key advocate for Hook Foods and its mission. His experience in negotiation, brand partnerships, and strategic growth helps ensure that Hook Foods delivers exceptional service and value to its clients. With his motto, “Attitude equals Altitude,” Mark believes that big goals are always within reach—a mindset he brings to Hook Foods as it continues to expand and evolve.

Vincenza Ranallo
Lead Consultant, Dietitian
As a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics with a Master’s in Nutrition and Wellness, Vincenza Ranallo brings extensive experience in performance nutrition to Hook Foods, specializing in elite athlete development, team nutrition strategies, and innovation in sports fueling. Her career began at Stanford University, where she worked with over 16 varsity teams, including football, and played a key role in developing nutrition plans for multiple national championship teams. In 2020, she was hired as the Director of Football Performance Nutrition at the University of Virginia, where she built and led a comprehensive nutrition program for the Cavaliers. Vincenza’s expertise spans strategic meal planning, supplement protocols, game-day nutrition, athlete recovery, and body composition management. She has worked closely with coaches, strength staff, and medical teams to optimize athlete performance through tailored nutrition strategies. As an active member of the American Sports and Performance Dietitians Association (ASPDA), Vincenza stays at the forefront of sports nutrition advancements. At Hook Foods, Vincenza continues to push the boundaries of sports nutrition, culinary innovation, and high-level program development, ensuring athletes have access to creative nutrition solutions that elevate performance.

Ed Hardy
Culinary Partner & Chef
A native Richmonder, Hardy grew up in a Wahoo family and cheered on the Hoos as a member of the UVA Pep Band while earning his BA in History. After a brief stint in politics, he moved to New York City to pursue culinary training at The French Culinary Institute. There, he worked with Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group at The Modern and Gramercy Tavern before becoming a protégé of Chef Marcus Samuelsson, leading kitchens at both Aquavit and Red Rooster Harlem. Hardy’s cooking is inspired by his love for food history, the bold flavors of the South and Blue Ridge Mountains, and his years in New York City. His work has been recognized nationally—he’s cooked for three U.S. Presidents and appeared twice on Food Network, including an episode of Beat Bobby Flay. Most recently, The Washington Post highlighted his engaging approach to in-person and online cooking classes. In Northern Virginia, Hardy is known for his creative concepts including Bacon N’ Ed’s food truck (a frequent best-of winner), Rogi, a modern American deli and pierogi shop, and the whimsical pop-up Chef Ed’s Fly Balls. He is also the author of the forthcoming Gastronomica Galactica: Sci-Fi Techniques For Your Food, a collaboration with the Museum of Science Fiction.

Elle Tucker
General Manager
Elle Tucker brings a versatile background in business operations, client service, and team leadership to her role as General Manager at Hook Foods. With experience spanning accounting, legal administration, transportation logistics, and property management, Elle offers a dynamic skill set that supports the fast-paced and detail-oriented worlds of food service and athletics. A Virginia Commonwealth University graduate with a concentration in Accounting, Elle has spent her career supporting high-performing organizations across multiple industries. She has held leadership roles in financial and legal operations, including overseeing accounting for a national law firm and managing sales and logistics for a specialty transportation company. Her expertise in compliance, client relations, and strategic planning continues to shape her approach to high-quality service delivery. Most recently, Elle served as Vice President of a real estate investment and property management firm, directing operations for a $250 million portfolio. Her responsibilities included managing student housing properties, leading renovation and development projects, recruiting and training staff, and developing marketing strategies. Her ability to build trust with both students and families brings a thoughtful, service-driven mindset to the work we do at Hook Foods. Outside of work, Elle enjoys gardening, traveling, and discovering new ways to celebrate food—from process to presentation to every flavorful bite. She shares her life with her husband and their two beloved dogs, Winkus and Nina.
